Zubac briefly entered the game in the fourth quarter for garbage time minutes, and the two big men appeared to have some friendly exchanges on the court.Bryant appeared in just 15 games for the Lakers as a rookie, mostly playing with the South Bay Lakers in the G League. Walton said he couldn’t surmise with certainty how Bryant has managed to gain a foothold with the Wizards. But he admired several of Bryant’s qualities with the Lakers that seem to have translated in Washington.“My guess would be how hard he plays and the energy he brings every day,” he said. “I’m not around the halls so I can’t give you the right answer, but that’s what we loved about him was his contagious energy, positive attitude and how hard he played.”Related Articles AD Quality Auto 360p 720p 1080p Top articles1/5READ MOREUCLA alum Kenny Clark signs four-year contract extension with PackersOne of the veteran acquisitions of the offseason, Rondo (8.5 ppg, 6.5 apg, 4.5 rpg) has been out since a Nov. 14 home game against the Portland Trail Blazers, when he fractured his hand in the fourth quarter. Instead, he’s been working with non-traveling assistants in the meantime, as the team hopes for his return sometime in the next two home games.“We’re hoping they’ll be ready for that, and yes I’m excited to get our team with full strength and start working on that cohesiveness and that rhythm,” Coach Luke Walton said on Sunday. “The guys have done a really nice job filling in since they’ve been out, but if we’re going to get to our best we need those guys in the rotation.”last_img
