Black Widow Poster Kicks off Marvels Phase 4

first_img The future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems weirder and wilder than ever after the climatic events of Avengers: Endgame. But before we see how this world goes on after everyone was dead for five years (and after Spider-Man seemed to disappear for some reason) the first Phase 4 MCU movie goes back in time. At D23 attendees got a first look at next year’s Black Widow solo film prequel. And artist Andy Park later tweeted it out.BLACK WIDOW!!! Official D23 poster I had the honor of painting. She’s very near & dear to me since it’s the gazillionth time I’ve concept designed/painted her. What a cast & crew! #BlackWidow @MarvelStudios #ScarlettJohansson @Florence_Pugh @DavidKHarbour #RachelWeisz @DisneyD23 pic.twitter.com/fxMOI4fJ5R— Andy Park (@andyparkart) August 25, 2019Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson as the former Soviet super spy turned founding member of the Avengers. But you already knew that. More interesting are these first looks at the supporting cast in this tale supposedly set between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.On the left we see Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, a next-generation Black Widow and Natasha’s sister of sorts. Presumably the other young faces next to her are more students of the Red Room that turned Nat into a killer. Meanwhile, on the right is David Harbour as Red Guardian, a communist counterpart to Captain America wearing a very Captain America outfit. Next to him is Rachel Weisz as Melina Wostokoff, an older more sinister Black Widow. Finally on top is Taskmaster, the villain of the movie with the ability to copy any physical action they see.Upcoming Disney+ shows WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier got first posters as well.WANDAVISION!!!
